29th Annual Tree Lighting in Alpharetta

The City of Alpharetta presented the 29th Annual Tree Lighting Celebration in Milton Square.  Alpharetta Mayor Arthur Letchas and his wife Sally read Twas the Night Before Christmas and helped flip the switch lighting the 45 foot tree.  The Alpharetta Christian Academy Chorus sang several Holiday songs and the City of Alpharetta Recreation & Parks Rhythm n’ Shoes Dancers entertained the attendees with Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree and What Christmas Means to Me.  A new addition to this year’s event was James Casto and his band members, John Allison and Mike Shetler, who sang and played Peace on Earth and other favorite Christmas tunes.  Santa and Mrs. Claus completed the evening’s event arriving by fire truck to greet children in the gazebo and hear their Christmas wishes.
