More pollutants, allergens, and contamination are collected in carpets and area rugs than in any other area of the home," says Chris Callas, President and CEO of QCare, Inc. in Roswell. That sounds ominous, but QCare’s business is to clean that harmful contamination with its extremely thorough twelve-step carpet cleaning system, utilizing hot water extraction — the best way to clean carpet — period.

QCare, Inc. was founded in 1996 and Chris purchased the business in February 2006, maintaining its presence in Roswell and the surrounding communities. With an extensive and diverse background in several major service-sector industries, Chris has led QCare from its original focus of being strictly a carpet-cleaning company to its current, more broad-based, home-services business.

Carpet cleaning is still a primary QCare service, but the homeowner who also has windows, ceiling fans, chandeliers, gutters, concrete, stucco, or even an RV, can depend on QCare to make it all look new again.

The technicians who provide QCare’s services are IICRC-certified employees. Each technician receives continuous classroom and on-the-job training to ensure that the highest industry standards are met. All technicians are employees of QCare and must pass stringent background checks. Subcontractors are never used by QCare. Additionally, more advanced certifications are earned for specialty skills such as upholstery, Oriental rugs, emergency water damage and cleanups, and mold remediation. The Institute for Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification (IICRC) is a worldwide organization that establishes standards and guidelines for professional carpet cleaners; QCare is an IICRC member firm (as recommended by Clark Howard) and is committed to abiding by the guidelines as it takes care of every one of its customers.

Through QCare’s state-of-the-art technology systems, the company and its technicians, can provide a full range of personalized services and customer support beyond cleaning. Pre-arrival phone calls are made to notify customers of crew arrival times without the delays of going through the main office. On-site processing of customer orders and printing of invoices are possible with QCare’s proprietary real-time PDA technology and Bluetooth portable printers.

With its truck-mounted equipment, high-powered vacuums, highly-trained, honest technicians, superior service, unparalleled warranties, and exemplary follow-up procedures, QCare has earned accolades from customers and from industry-specific publications.

Kudos such as "great work!," "best in town," "convenient scheduling," "great service," and "on time" are all customer reviews that can be found online. Callas explains, "Our goal is to provide the best cleaning service possible to every customer on every appointment."

"Unless a customer initiates changes to the service order, the price we quote is what our customers pay — period."

"We’re in an industry where bait-and-switch and slight-of-hand is an unfortunate reality, but we’ve built a very loyal client base by maintaining the highest ethical standards and delivering superior service and outstanding customer support," Chris says.

Cleaning windows, even second and third story windows, is a QCare service that many homeowners can appreciate. Each pane is washed by hand from a ladder. There is no guy standing on the ground with a pole shooting water at the glass. Windows are scraped and cleaned inside and out, and screens and sills are wiped and replaced. "It’s the only way to properly clean windows," Callas explains. "Our customers know they’re going to get the very highest quality job from us."

Using the same technique, gutters are also cleaned from a ladder and by hand. The debris is bagged up and hauled away by QCare. After the cleanup is complete, the gutters are rinsed to make sure that there are no blockages to impede water flow.

The QCare twelve-step carpet cleaning system includes a complete pre-inspection that might reveal special attention needs; a thorough vacuuming; a protective set up where door and corner guards are placed; furniture moving; a PowerForce pre-spray for high-traffic areas; a pile brush fiber agitation to penetrate the pre-spray; hot 250 degree water injected into the carpet to suspend soil and to sanitize; stain and spot removal; speed drying with commercial air dryers; furniture replacement with protective leg tabs; carpet grooming to set the pile; and a complete post-inspection to insure customer satisfaction.

Community involvement is an important part of the company mission at QCare, and that’s why the business contributes to several charities and holds a membership in the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce.

Recently, QCare donated several service vouchers to be auctioned at events held by Blessed Trinity High School, Camp Sunshine, the Country Club of the South Charity Guild, and The Quiet Heroes/CURE Childhood Cancer hosted by Tom Glavine’s wife, Chris.

Chris Callas lives in Roswell. He knows the meaning of good service. He and his seven crews and trucks work hard to take good care of QCare’s customers. He says,

"We go over the top sometimes to make sure our customers are completely satisfied because it’s the right way to do business."

QCare serves the north side of Atlanta between I-75 and I-85 — The Golden Triangle. His customers live in Flowery Branch, Woodstock, Roswell, Alpharetta, Cumming, Suwanee, and East Cobb. When customers move, they often call QCare to service their new homes — a fitting tribute to quality company!

As Chris says, "It’s a dirty job, but somebody’s got to do it." So why not call QCare and have your home squeaky clean for the holidays!
