February is the month for love…a love that last the test of time.  In Alpharetta that love is displayed through the lives of Nelda J. and Ralph C. Berry.  The Berry’s celebrate 55 years of love.  That is amazing!  As the winners of the Tournament of Roses for Around Town Alpharetta/Milton the Berry’s life demonstrates to us the definition of love.  Celebrate with the Berry’s and the Alpharetta/Milton communities on pages 24 and 25.

Take time to nominate your favorite Doctor, Dentist, Veterinarian, Carpet Cleaner, Attorney, CPA, (you get the idea…), within the Alpharetta/Milton communities.  You will find the Best of the Best categories on the Reader’s Choice ballot in the center of the magazine (or visit www.aroundalpharetta.com to vote online).  Don’t forget to nominate a minimum of 20 categories.  This gives, you the customer, an opportunity to shout with a positive voice into your business community.  The response received in January has surpassed our expectations!

On our cover this month is Chrysalis Experiential Academy.  I have been amazed to see the positive impact this school has had in the lives of the students.  Chrysalis provides a rigorous, experiential learning environment in which students are challenged to think, research, ask questions, pose problems and then collaborate.  The students come to understand that the processes they encounter in learning are as important as the answers they produce.  See this amazing story on pages 16 and 17.
