The Alpharetta Community Bank
$300 million in loans in three years
Lou Douglass, President of The Alpharetta Community Bank, says his bank has experienced phenomenal growth since opening two years ago. "We had over $100 million in loans by the end of 2005, over $200 million by the end of 2006 and we expect to be over $300 million by the end of this year,"
Douglass says. "The North Fulton – 400 corridor is the hottest area in metro Atlanta - and Alpharetta is the epicenter."
Most of the bank's new business is coming from real estate developers and small businesses in the Alpharetta area. Mr. Douglass says these businesses are attracted to the bank because of the personal service the community bank can provide. "We have the latest technology as the big banks, the loan capabilities as the big banks – but we take the time to know our customers and give them the attention they deserve. We also provide fast turn around on decisions," adds Douglass.
The Alpharetta Community Bank is also very involved in the community. The bank hosted a Business After Hours event last year with the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce which drew over 200 people. The bank also helped to promote the new Downtown Alpharetta Farmer's Market and sponsored the Metropolitan Ballet Company's Nutcracker performance and the booster club with the Alpharetta High School.
"I have been in banking for over 36 years and have never seen an area with more business opportunity than Alpharetta right now," stated Douglass. "All you have to do is look at our location on Old Milton Parkway and see the new development coming up across the street with the new Prospect Park. This area will rival any other area in Atlanta for business and living amenities."
Ferguson McManamy Attorneys At Law
25 offices in 5 years
Twenty-five offices in five years: That may seem like an ambitious goal for most companies but that is just the challenge that keeps partners Joe Ferguson and Patrick McManamy motivated every day.
The Firm's partners have been closing residential real estate transactions since 1983. In 2005, they teamed together to form Ferguson McManamy. The firm plans to build 25 offices during the first 5 years of operation. Beginning with two offices in August of 2005, the firm has grown rapidly to now encompass 9 different offices.
