Happy Independence Day! The communities of Alpharetta and Milton reveal a mosaic of life through individuals, families, entrepreneurs, businesses, and public servants both military and government, all participating in preserving our freedom. Fourth of July is a day to remember and celebrate. The celebration of Independence Day at Alpharetta will kick off at 5 p.m. at Wills Park. The unique spirit of our country can be viewed in our local election one of which is featured on our cover this month. Chuck Martin has spent the last six years as District 47 State House Representative. Chuck wrote several pieces of legislation which passed and are now law. Read about his experiences on pages 16 and 17.

Our area of North Fulton continues to be a showcase for economic growth. You can see that growth reflected in the increase number of advertisers in Around Town Alpharetta/Milton/Windward. Our advertisers have grown their businesses in the midst of a difficult economy and we have many new developing relationships with new businesses in your neighborhood. This reflects the effective way Around Town Community magazine "targets" this growing market for our advertisers and it is an indicator of a healthy business environment that is a product of healthy community growth.
