Andrea and her husband Bill have five kids and she always thought when the kids grew up she wanted to have a shop like this. "As I would visit several upscale shops around the Atlanta area, I realized this was by far superior to any other shop in the area, and I thought to myself that this is what I would really like to do when the kids were all in school. When the franchise opportunity arose, I was excited about fulfilling my dream."

"A lot of people come in and see the basketball and assume it’s really a basketball. They never think it’s really chocolate," Andrea says. Schakolad can also order additional molds to meet its customers’ needs. However, this does increase the amount of time needed to complete a custom project. Andrea is busy each morning creating unique gifts and loves every minute of her day at the store. Dreams do not come around every day, but Andrea feels hers has opened up a whole new world filled with the opportunity to share her love with those around her.

Visible through a storefront window, the milk and dark chocolate flow in separate vats, lifted by a conveyor belt. Workers harvest the chocolate from the conveyor belt to sculpt it into any number of designs and forms.
